Fans' comments - Major spoiler to follow

I just saw "Scorpions Dream" yesterday. Good episode. Lili can duck and roll with the best of them.
------------------
Boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Those Scrill can be pretty pesky, can't they?! Never even considered that they had a consciousness! Just kind of thought they were a cool bio-engineered gadget! Also thought it was cool that they were engineered by humans, and that they've gone through several stages of development! See there, you learn some'n new every few days!
------------------
I stopped by the official EFC site and this is what they added after Scorpion's Dream----

The Taelons have encountered an alien species before -- and what happened to that species is sobering.

The Skrill -- the wormlike weapon lackeys of Taelons use to "keep the peace" -- was an independent, self-sufficient species until the Taelons got their hands on them. But when the Taelons discovered that the Skrill were a threat, they set about changing them, genetically engineering them, robbing them of their free will. Now, the Skrill are changed, and dependent on the Taelons and their human collaborators.
-------------------
My question to that would be why would the Skrill be dependent on the Humans? The Taelons couldn't have possibly genetically engineered them to work with humans *before* the Taelons came to earth and I have yet to see a Taelon wearing a Skrill. This doesn't make sense to me. I can see that the Taelons would genetically engineer them to try and make them less of a threat, though. Hmmm. Maybe Humans will find Skrills to be allies...
-------------------
I thought it was strange in "Avatar" that Sandoval's skrill was stolen and he looked very ill, then in the next episode, he looks perfectly fine like nothing happened. I thought it might be mentioned in this episode but it wasn't.
Free will seems to be an important theme, and the lead character's name is "Will" -- a coincidence?
-------------------
I loved Scorpion's Dream. It really made me think about a lot of things, especially if the companions tend to utilize humans in the same way they had used the Skrill. I really ended up feeling very sorry for the Skrill. I wasn't too thrilled with the fact that Lili wanted to just kill the one that had attached itself to the scientist (forgot his name). But my hubby reminded me that she *is* a soldier and sometimes it's better to cut your losses and go on.
--------------------
Lisa looked particularly great in this ep. Really, really LOVE her hair that longer length! Looks a little less like a wig than the shorter length.
--------------------
I like it, but not enough Lili in that episode. I guess I am spoiled by "Horizon Zero" and expect more now. Lisa was great as usual. Somehow her hair was longer, very much like it was in the second epiosde "Truth." Also, the way Boone was with Sandoval, almost make me think that "Scorpions Dream" should have been the third episode instead of the ninth. They aired Scorpions Dream as the 6th episode in Canada.
--------------------
I agree with you, I love her hair at that longer length! I've always prefered her hair longer. The way her hair was in Scorpion's Dream gave her a much more natural look.
--------------------
It's quite possible that Lili keeps her hair short simply because it's easier to take care of. Personally, I like Lisa's hair a little shorter than the way she had it in Scorpion's Dream. It always seemed to get in her way in this episode. From a soldier's standpoint, this is simply not practical.
----------------------
Lisa'a hair, in my opinion, was worst in "Highlander" and best in "Sweating Bullets". She looks great with long hair! Make it longer, please...
No question -- "Horizon Zero" is a LH benchmark. Other episodes just don't compare. More Lisa please...
---------------------
About "Scorpion Dreams", when it finally aired here, alot of it flew right over my head, but it was a good episode. I love how Boone was using his implant to track the doctor down and Lili using that weird computer thing to look up information. The promo for next week looks good as well.
---------------------
I guess if someone haven't been following the series, its easy to get lost. When Sandoval was ready to flood the tunnels with those gas (I think), Lili wanted him to stop because Boone was still down there, she told him to check with Da'an. Sandoval said that Da'an knew Boone was down there and yet still gave him the go ahead. That made me think that this episode should have been an earlier ep, *before* Boone and Da'an had developed a bond and trust for each other. Plus, the tension between Boone and Sandoval was what I was looking for after "Truth" aired.
In this episode, Lili was clearly the only one who was watching out for Boone!
-----------------
Personally, this episode reaffirmed my opinion of Boone, which happened to be a cold fish with only one emotion, not to mention an arrogant snob to boot. He doesn't deserve someone like Lili. She kept wanting to make sure he was alright, but he kept blowing her off!
-----------------
I agree, I think this episode should have been shown a lot earlier. I have to admit that now that I have seen this ep it makes me distrust the Taelons even more. I mean if they would enslave the scrills why would they not enslave earth?
Lisa as Lili was great of course and when she hit the ground I gasped. I was thinking I *know* they didn't hurt *our* Lisa/Lili. (still impressed by Lisa's stunt abilities)
