Fall 1997

What is your training?

My background training started when I was 10 and was sent to a performance art school focusing on music, drama and dance. After studying in a performance program at Toronto's George Brown College, I moved to New York and studied with some great teachers, including work at the Actors Studio. In LA, I studied with Larry Moss, in a class for professional actors. Lots of big stars in my class. It's great because I get to work with them in scene study.

When and where were you born?

I was born in London, Ontario and grew up in London and Kingston, Ontario. My birthday is on November 24.

Do you come from a show business family? Do you have any relatives in show business?

I do not have any show business family members. They are all in the cemetery business. My father, grandfather, and sister manage cemeteries and crematoriums. A far cry from the lights of Hollywood. I grew up in a 160-year-old house behind the cemetery gates.

Do you want to enter into other areas of show business besides acting - like producing or directing?

I'd love to write and produce some day. I have a few writing partners, and I write with my husband, too. During my hiatus, I'm going to try and take a directing course.
[Lisa's husband, Daniel Howard Cerone, is a writer]

Do you have any hobbies?

My hobbies are music (I play piano) and anything physically challenging. I'm not an expert on anything athletic, but I'll try anything once. I love kayaking, rollerblading, river rafting and boxing.
[Lisa did all her own stunts in the Bounty Hunters feature films. We can look forward to seeing her boxing and martial arts skills in her portrayal of Captain Lili.]
